Terms
Effective September 3, 2026 · Privacy
The short version
- Choose a fixed card design, upload a permitted photo, and see the exact watermarked result before deciding whether to buy it.
- The automatic-card base price is USD 9.99 before applicable sales tax. Where available, checkout may show a local currency. The final amount, including applicable tax and any currency-conversion fee, is shown before you pay.
- A confirmed purchase unlocks the exact illustrated cover you previewed and any personal note you added. These are digital PNG files, not physical cards.
- You must be at least 18 and have permission to use every photo you submit, including authority for any child shown.
- A purchased card is for personal use. Resale, advertising, merchandise, template libraries, and model training require separate written permission.
- Questions about an order, refund, or rights concern go to hello@fondandfold.com.
1Who you're dealing with
Fond & Fold is a one-person shop run by Lingzi Kong, trading as Fond & Fold. Questions reach us directly at hello@fondandfold.com.
Dodo Payments handles automatic-card payments as merchant of record. Its Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy apply to its part of the transaction.
2The service
Fond & Fold offers a small collection of fixed illustrated greeting-card designs. You choose a card, provide a permitted photograph, and choose from the cover wording offered for that design. You receive one watermarked preview of the generated result. If you buy it, you receive that exact result as a high-resolution digital PNG without the preview watermark. No physical card is mailed.
Once the cover preview is ready, you may add an optional personal note inside. The note is separate from the illustrated cover and included at no additional charge. It is confirmed when you start secure payment and cannot be edited for that order afterwards.
The illustration is made with AI image tools using a direction developed for the selected card. It is a stylized interpretation, not a photographic portrait or face-swap, and generative results can contain mistakes. Seeing the exact result before payment is the main quality safeguard.
There is no customer account or subscription.
3Who may use it
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract where you live. You may upload a photograph only if you have the right or permission to use it. Every other identifiable person must agree to the illustration, or you must have authority to agree for them. If a child appears, you must be the child's parent or legal guardian, or have permission from that parent or guardian.
For an automatic-card source photo, do not submit a stock photograph, film still, identity document, private image obtained without permission, or a photograph of a public figure or celebrity you do not personally represent. You are responsible for any copyright or photographer permission needed for the file. Commission references may show mood, color, or direction, but they do not give Fond & Fold permission to reproduce protected third-party material.
4Previews and limits
An accepted complete submission—card, photo, and supported cover wording—makes one stored result and one watermarked preview. Sending the same complete input may return the stored result instead of generating a new one. Changing the card, file, or supported cover wording is new work. Adding or editing a personal note before secure payment starts does not generate a new cover.
Reasonable-use limits protect the service from automated or excessive generation. Fond & Fold may delay or refuse requests that appear abusive, unsafe, unlawful, or intended to bypass those limits.
5Price and payment
The automatic-card base price is USD 9.99 before applicable sales tax. Where available, Dodo Payments may show checkout in a local currency. The final amount, including applicable tax and any currency-conversion fee, is shown before you pay.
Dodo Payments handles payment, tax, and receipts as merchant of record. Fond & Fold receives the order information needed for delivery and support, but not your full payment-card number. Your file is unlocked only after Dodo confirms payment.
6Delivery
After Dodo confirms payment, your private delivery page provides the exact cover without the preview watermark and any personal note you added, with separate PNG saves. One delivery email is sent with a link to your card that expires after 30 days for new purchases. Earlier links keep the expiry shown in their email. A replacement link supplied later for support may expire sooner, within the remaining file-retention period; its exact expiry is shown in the email and when you open the card. Anyone with the link can view and save the cover and any personal note, and see the optional sender name, so share it thoughtfully. There is no customer account or permanent card library, so save your own copies of the cover and any note. If delivery fails, email hello@fondandfold.com with your order reference.
7Refunds
You see the exact watermarked automatic card before payment. After the unwatermarked file is delivered, a change of mind or subjective disappointment with the result is normally not refundable.
This does not affect non-waivable rights or remedies for a duplicate charge, non-delivery, a corrupt, wrong, or still-watermarked file, or a delivered card that materially differs from the preview purchased. Email hello@fondandfold.com so the problem can be investigated and resolved.
Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for automatic-card purchases. Its Buyer Terms and refund process also apply to the payment.
8Commissions
A Commission form is an inquiry, not an order, and submitting it does not require payment or start work. If an inquiry is accepted, the scope, price, payment method, timing, revisions, delivery, permitted use, and cancellation terms will be agreed in writing before work begins. That written agreement controls the Commission.
We will not add your commissioned design to our shop or adapt it into a shop card for other customers to personalize. This commitment applies to every commission, including single cards, sets, and commercial projects. If you give permission to showcase the finished work, that permission allows display only; it does not allow us to offer your commissioned design for sale.
9Personal use
After purchase, you may send, print, frame, and post the delivered card on your own personal social accounts. The file is a high-resolution RGB digital image for ordinary personal printing; it is not a press-ready CMYK file and does not include bleed, crop marks, a printer profile, or a proof for a particular printing service.
You may not resell the file, use it in advertising or on merchandise, add it to a stock or template library, sublicense it, or use it as model-training data without separate written permission.
10Your photo, Fond & Fold materials, and showcase choice
You keep the rights you already have in an uploaded photograph. You give Fond & Fold only the permission needed to check the upload, make and deliver the requested card, prevent abuse, provide support, and perform the limited quality review described in the Privacy Policy.
Fond & Fold's site copy, brand assets, private prompts, and template recipes remain Fond & Fold's. Rights in third-party material remain with their respective owners.
Customer cards are private by default. A separate optional box may allow Fond & Fold to consider the illustrated cover for its own website or social accounts. That permission does not cover the personal note, source photograph, email address, paid advertising, resale, or third-party publication. It does not publish the cover automatically or extend its ordinary retention period.
11Acceptable use
Do not use the service for illegal, sexual, hateful, violent, harassing, humiliating, deceptive, or impersonating content. Anything that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or otherwise harms a child is prohibited. Do not scrape or automate the service, bypass its limits or security, remove preview watermarks, or resell access.
12Rights concerns
If you believe a specific Fond & Fold card, image, or page affects copyright, trademark, or another right you control, use Contact us and chooseCopyright or other rights concern. Identify the work or right, the exact Fond & Fold page, why you believe the use is not authorized, and whether you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
We may ask for more information and may temporarily restrict or remove material while reviewing the concern. This process does not itself admit infringement or limit either side's legal rights.
13Availability and responsibility
The service may sometimes be unavailable, slow, or changed, and cards or prices may change before purchase. A purchased file and the personal-use permission already granted are not withdrawn merely because a card later leaves the shop.
You are responsible for the rights, permissions, and lawfulness of material you submit. Fond & Fold does not promise that a stylized likeness will suit every recipient or an undisclosed purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fond & Fold is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, a third-party printer's mistake, or loss caused by failing to save a delivered file. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.
